While applying both feet on the brake pedal in order for the vehicle to stop the vehicle failed to stop on its own. Driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and pulled over to the shoulder. While driving at 55mph the front left wheel locked up, causing loss of control. The driver brought the vehicle under control and was able to guide it to the shoulder.
