In owners' own words

I have a 2005 f150 Ford fx4 , and two front windows fell into the door within three months. I have been told this is very common problem for this truck, that the power window regulators are faulty. When these windows fall inside the door I am left scared and very unsafe. I have researched this problem and found complaints all over about this same problem. What does it take for someone to address this problem? Visibility · reported at 41,000 miles
The contact owns a 2005 Ford f150. The contact stated that two power regulators have failed. The driver and passenger side windows have fallen off track inside the door. The contact does not have a warranty for the vehicle and is required to pay for the repairs. The manufacturer advised the contact that there are no existing recalls and that they are aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000. Visibility · reported at 60,000 miles
When driving down the road a 35 mph my driver side window made a loud pop sound and the window fell down into the door. I had to buy a whole new window regulator assembly. I have seen this to be a problem on this site and many other online forums. There must be a defect with the regulators. Mine was so bad that the cable actually frayed and snapped. This is a safety hazard that should be addressed. Visibility · reported at 91,000 miles
