Accelerating on interstate on ramp to merge into traffic. Accelerator stuck and vehicle speed increased. Had to heavily apply brakes to stop, put in neutral, engine continued to rev, shut truck off. About a minute after stopping, a loud pop was heard in cab (accelerator unsticking??). Turned truck on, normal acceleration followed. This was the first and only occurrence. Vehicle speed control · reported at 49,880 miles
While accelerating onto highway, the throttle stuck and kept accelerating the vehicle even after my foot was removed from gas pedal. I had to shift into neutral and the engine stayed at 4000rpm without pressing on the gas pedal. I brought the truck to a stop on the shoulder and shut it off. It worked fine on the way home. This vehicle is going to Ford in the morning! Vehicle speed control · reported at 5 miles
