In owners' own words
There are 4 cracks in the dash of the truck and 1 on the corner of the passenger side airbag my concern is if the passenger air bag deployed it could potentially send plastic flying projectiles and cause bodily injury or worse loss of vision. Gm has not had a recall because they claim its not a safety concern but there must be a test performed in order to raise a safety concern or wait till someone gets hurt Air bags · reported at 50,423 miles

The dash is cracked, there are two cracks where the air-bag is, which could possibly interfere with the deployment of the air-bag. This problem is widespread and involves several models and several years. I contacted the dealership and also general motors and they refuse to do anything to fix it. Several people replaced their dashes at their expense only to have those crack also. Air bags · reported at 30,000 miles
