In owners' own words

Transmission suddenly downshifts while driving 55+ mph down the highway. I have noticed it downshifting from 6th all the way down to 3rd causing excessive rpms. I took it to dealership who said it was "bad gas" that had fouled the plugs. Charged me over $300 and it's not a bit better. Seemingly it occurs most often when I let off of the accelerator (I.E. Going around a curve or topping a hill) but it is very random. Power train · reported at 27,000 miles

The failure mileage was approximately 207,600. Power train · reported at 207,600 miles
There is a serious issue with what Ford is doing to fix a known problem with their transmissions shifting into 1st gear while at highway speed. This happened to me after they put in their software "Patch" that was their idea of how to fix the problem. I have up loaded a detailed explanation of what happened to me with Ford and their safety recall. I also have any bills and cost to me to fix Ford's safety recall. Power train
