In owners' own words

Transmission control module failed after I got gas. Part is under recall by FORD. Ford does not have the part. 6-8 month wait. I need my car so I had to purchase a used part. Cost of part $486. Then I had to pay for labor. Ford charges $580 to install and program used part. I could not afford this. I had to pay another mechanic to install. Currently waiting for repair and paying for a rental car. It’s been 2 weeks. Power train
My car has a severe transmission shudder when applying gas after stopping. It has been diagnosed that it needs a new clutch. I'm aware that Ford has extended the warranty on on this model Focus due to a dysfunction within the design of the dual clutch system, however my vin number has not received this extended warranty for some reaso and I would have to pay to get it repaired. . The car is not safe due to a defect. Power train · reported at 67,000 miles
Had the trans clutches repaired, and still having the same issues: car shudders and shakes while taking off from a light and acts like it is slipping in between gears . Makes stopping and starting or entering a highway very dangerous . Seems that this problem is an on going issue with this year model Ford . There should be a recall or the trans should have a lifetime warranty for fords know daul clutch problems. Power train · reported at 32,000 miles
