5 Times one or more spark plugs failed, causing power loss to gasoline engine, slowing car to a stop. Each time, the car was on the freeway (ca-2), utilizing cruise control. Dealer replaced special spark plugs as a waranty issue. Happened 2x in 2015, 1x in 2017, 1x in 2018, 1x in 2020. The car was climbing a slight grade, weather was variable (cool to hot), always on cruise control, speed never exceeding 60 mph. Electrical system · reported at 41,666 miles
The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle restarted; however, the failure recurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the battery bolt was loose and had to be tightened. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. There was a sudden loss of all control of the vehicle for a few seconds, i.e., no steering/braking etc. and swerved; it could have easily caused an accident if there were any cars in the next lane. When control came back, pulled to a left turning lane and stopped. After a couple minutes, started driving again slowly and with fear.
