The piston rings do not seal leading to increased oil consumption and very low oil. My safety was put at risk because when I pulled out into traffic that was going at a high speed I could not accelerate. There was no warning or indication that this was going on prior to this incident. Yes this has been confirmed by a Hyundai dealership and the component was inspected. My car started ticking and making loud noise. The next day took to the dealer to have it looked it. I stopped at a light and the car stopped any wouldnât go . It was running but no power, the said was the engine . Itâs been at the dealer since beginning July 2022 and they are saying could be October or November before they can work on it . The car only had 50k miles on it and I only purchased it 6 months ago . Engine
Piston slapping, engine failing. First diagnosed with Christian Auto Brothers of Concord, NC in December of 2022; then advised to tow to my local Modern Hyundai Dealer in Concord, NC 12:30/22. Same diagnostics, same result. *Hyundai extended their warranty to 140,000 miles for this issue, but refuse to fix since Iâm not the original owner.
