Due to a faulty design were antifreeze is allowed to get into the cylinders and mix with the oil, the engine malfunctioned while I was on a busy highway and I barely got off the road onto the shoulder. It was very dangerous. I thought it was an isolated incident but it happened again. Now they want to charge me $8,400 to replace a defective engine. I know some of Ford's similar engines are being recalled. Thank you Engine
Significant engine rattle between 2000-2500 rpm under light load. Rattle is loudest in third gear at 2200 rpm. Service technician duplicated the engine rattle and found damage to cylinders 5-8 and submitted his report along with photos to Ford. The technician recommended full engine replacement. At acceleration the car won't shift when needed then it'll automatically down shift and stop accelerating. The rpm gage needle bounces up & down with & with acceleration imaged speed still decreases then something catches and it'll start accelerating & rpm going to high then starts all over before finally working right.
