In owners' own words

The front passenger side tire tread separated while driving, on another occasion the the rear drivers side tire blew out causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and ended up in a grassy median, in july of 2000 prior to the recall 00t005, consumer had to replace two more tires due to bad belts,consumer is requesting reimbursement for faulty tires (firestone wilderness atx, p235/75r15). Right rear tire shows definite signs of tread separation. Small hairline crack running around outside of tire about an inch down from top of tread. Left rear tire not as noticeable but on close examination shows signs of beginning to separate. Although tire size is not on recall list when inspected by firestone dealer they agreed to replace all four tires.( Dot number: w2hl tire size: p235/75r15 ) Tires
Consumer saw a 6-7 inch crack in the front left firestone wilderness at tire p255/70r16 dot vncu1pl in the sidewall, the other tires had hairline cracks on the edge of the outside tread, these tires dot # is st358j, dealer stated the hairline cracks came from dryrot, consumer replaced tires on his own due to no help from firestone and Ford because these specific tires were not on recall. *Slc Tires
