In owners' own words
I have had 2 prior repairs made due to recalls. The doors and an engine part. The dealership just repaired a sensor on my car last week. Now my car is stalling when I first start it (stationary) or feels like it's going to stall while driving at a rate of 45 mph. It only has 56k on it. I have noticed ongoing issues with the doors, but will advise the dealership since they fixed them as part of the first recall. Engine · reported at 56,800 miles
Coolant leak just like as listed in other 2014 Ford Escape recalls. It leaked into the engine block causing misfire of spark plugs and thus the Ford dealership tells me I am required $14,000 engine rebuild which I can't afford. It is dangerous for me to drive as the engine may misfire or overheat at any time. The Ford company says I have no recalls and yet this issue was a recalled issue on this year of Ford Escapes. Engine
The prior reported issue of coolant intrusion of the Ford Ecoboost into the engine. They only recalled a select number and it seems from both own experience and reviews online that this is happening to a wide variety of years and people even though they "fixed" the issue. Had I not been diligent regarding my car this could have ended poorly and in this economy it's ridiculous to not have a reliable and SAFE vehicle Engine · reported at 112,916 miles
