In owners' own words
CVT failed while driving on a busy inclined highway (towards Denver Airport) without any prior warning or check engine alert. The car came to a complete stop before I can judge the problem and pull over. Got it towed to the nearest Nissan service center (Tynan's Nissan, Denver) where they identified code P0776 and P17F0 after inspection. The check engine light turned amber only after the car came to a complete stop. Power train

While driving on interstate 80 RPM started fluctuating as the MPH started decreasing. I had to pull to the side of the freeway and drive at 5mph because thatâs all it would let me do. Car had to be towed from Colfax California to the AAMCO in Auburn, California. Had to rent a car that cost me $609. I found out today that the transmission needs to be replaced and the cost will be $6949.03. Power train
