In owners' own words

Intermittent 4WD SVC Light - Code c14a7-97 comes up. There is an outstanding LIFETIME warranty on my vehicle to replace the Power Transfer Unit, however Jeep/Chrysler refuses to fix this under the warranty because this code does not fall under the Extended Warranty, even though it is related to the same part (PTU). The part is 3-6 months backordered anyway. This is ignorance and a safety hazard from Jeep/Chrysler. Power train
At 43000 a message on the instrument display came on twice over 2 days. It said "service shifter". The dealer confirmed that the shift bezel and wiring harness had to be replaced because the original design was defective. The repair was not covered under the powertrain warranty. Faulty operation of the gear selector could result in a vehicle being inoperable. That is a safety hazard. Jeep should fix this.. Power train
While driving the vehicle, the check engine light and service transmission came on. It starting acting as though it was stuck in a higher gear. Going from a complete stop and accelerating, there was no power. After getting the code read, it was displaying p0887 "tcm power relay control circuit high." I've researched the issue and noticed that it has happen on a lot of the chrysler vehicles from 2014 to 2018. Power train · reported at 90,484 miles
